People don’t often think of our doctors because our physicians don’t interact directly with patients.  But the work they do has life-saving impact: accurately reading MRIs, CT scans, XRays, and more.

Technology is integral to everything we do.   First and foremost, technology enables our team to provide their services without having to staff three hospitals.     Our doctors are local, and the members of our practice are very involved in our community.  But they don’t have to be physically in the hospitals to do their work.  Because they don’t have to spend time travelling from one building to another, they have time to interpret many more images.

All of our work is digital.  We no longer manage a mountain of paperwork, as we did not too many years ago.   This is a huge time-savings, freeing our team to do what they do best.  But our dependence on digital files means that our computer network absolutely must be secure and reliable.   With Holston IT managing our network, we have no worries in this regard.

We have been a Holston IT client since 2009.  We first called them because there were a few small things that we didn’t know how to fix, but today they are doing much more.   Their “Hassle-Free HIPAA” services are truly a life-saver—so essential to helping us comply with the law and keep our data secure.  Holston IT managed our server migration, they provide secure email . . . the list of what they do for us could go on and on.  We don’t have an internal tech person, so I know we could not function without Holston IT.

We rarely have any issues with our technology, because Holston IT is so good at preventing problems.   But when we do have an issue, I know they will resolve it quickly.   If for some reason no one is available immediately, I always get a call back within 15 minutes.  If someone needs to come onsite, I know I don’t have to wait long.   That fast response time is critically important to us, and Holston IT always delivers.

Everyone on the Holston IT team is friendly, trustworthy, and competent—they really know what they are doing.  A couple of them are quite funny too.  I have not had an issue with any of them; they’re a delight to work with.   They always fix it (whatever “it” is).  I have peace of mind because I don’t have to think about our technology.   It just works.

Technology has changed so much.  It’s not like it was 15 years ago when you could just turn on your computer and not give it any more thought.  Today, you must know that you are secure and backed up.  For example, our accounts receivable—what would happen if we lost that?  I couldn’t put a dollar amount on that, it’s our business.    With Holston IT, we know our data is secure and backed up.   Working with Holston IT isn’t so much a cost as a necessity—a necessary investment that improves our productivity, increases our security, and takes away the hassle so we can focus on serving our patients!
